It's been over a year and a half since my ex broke up with me because he couldn't handle a long distance relationship (we tried it for 6 months). He has been calling me ever since..at least every two weeks..to say hi and see how I am doing. Whenever we see eachother (like every 3 months or so) we play around but never have sex. Why does he continue to keep in touch with me?

Maybe he still has feelings for u but just can't stand to have a long distance relationship. Just because the two of u broke up doesn't mean u can't still show love towards one another.

this is just like my ex and i. he broke up with you because he couldnt handle being apart, it is hard for the person left at home. but that doesn't mean that he stopped having feelings for you! he probably still misses you and doesn't want to lose complete contact with you. and he sounds like a nice guy to call and check up on you to see how you are.

You both still love each other, and if he didn't call you, you would call him. You two have to figure out how you can make this work. I think it would be a shame to lose what you to have.

You know that saying "you don't know what you got till it is gone" that is propabably how he feels. That or maybe he still wants to be friends and most of all guys try to get laid every chance they get. Why don't you try asking him what is the deal or what he really wants? GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
