If you are christian then it is against the 10 commandments but I am not a judge...so I can't say if you would go to hell or not...but It hurts people to cheat so just as a general rule you shouldn't do it...if you ask for forgiveness and mean it you will be forgiven though...if your not christian...it is still wrong...you may be affecting more people than you are aware..

Well, are they making a habit of adultery? if so then yes. If not then no, so long as they put their faith in Christ, accept His forgiveness for their sins and do not practice the deeds of the flesh.

Galatians 6:19-23
"Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and thing like these, of which I forewarn you just as I have forewarned you that those who PRACTICE these things such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
But
the fruit of the Spirit is, love, joy, peace patience kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
verse 25 - If we live by the Spirit let us also walk by the Spirit.

So a person who makes a habit of the deeds of the flesh is not walking with the Lord and is headed for hell.
A Christian may stumble in any of these areas, but wouldn't make it their life's habit to do them. And would show in their life style the fruit of the spirit, (all of the fruit.)

Hope this helps. Hope you are on your way to heaven friend.

If they are unrepentent, I would say it is likely. However, since it is God's role to judge, not mine, it is up to him. He will have mercy on whom He choses to have mercy. I'll say this much, God can forgive adultery, as in the case of King David. He was an adulterer and a murderer, yet was considered a man after God's own heart.

God gave the 10 Commandments. Do Not Commit Adultry is one of the Commandments. However God in His mercy realizes that man is in the flesh and surrounded by temptations. Therefore He sent His Son Jesus to pay the price of sin for us by His sacrifice on the Cross. And while Jesus was here on earth He condensed the 10 Commandments down to only 2. And the first one is to love God with all your heart, mind and soul. And the second one is to love your neighbor as yourself. If everyone who has ever committed adultry went to hell, there'd be no one in heaven. That's why Jesus is so very important! The Bible makes it clear that NO ONE can enter heaven without going thru Jesus first. Ask Jesus to come into your life. Ask Him to forgive you of your sins. And with the Blood of Jesus and the mercy of God you will be forgiven and allowed into heaven.

People that have not accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior will not enter heaven (thus going to hell) it doesn't matter if you are an adulturer, or even a "good person"... There's only one way to heaven, and that is through Christ Jesus. If someone is continuing to live in sin with no regard to what the Bible says, there is a good chance they are not in right relationship with the Lord. But if they commit adultery, but later in surrender their life to the Lord, He will forgive. My mom left my dad for an adulteress relationship, but nearly 9 years later, she has given her life back to the Lord and I truly believe she is going to heaven.

adulterers go to hell in this life. this usually happens when they see all they have lost for doing what they did. Just ask one.

Only if they have not accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. We are all sinners, justly deserving hell. Thankfully, God loves us so much that He did for us what we could never do for ourselves...He made a way through Jesus to come back into fellowship with Him. The key is the choice we make: faith or no faith.

Does john 3 16 say that they will go to hell if they die?

not simply because they're adulterers.....if they're unsaved (which i'd go as far to say the majority of adulterers prolley are), then yes, they will go to hell......or so the Bible says......i'm not sure exactly what God's Judgment will be when that time comes

All sinners will go to hell. Even the person who simply took a pencil from work one time.
The only hope for anyone is to proclaim Jesus as their LORD and Savior, and let Him forgive their sins.
