In a game, the "barker" starts by thinking of a math rule or calculation. The "player spins a number wheel to get their number, and the "barker" mentally applies his formula to the number and quickly calls out the answer. This is done 3 times, with the "barker" writing down each pair of numbers for all to see.

The player spins one last time to get a fourth number. The "barker" then writes his answer down on a hidden board. To win the prize, the player has to correctly predict the number that the "barker" has written down.

Here are the results of the four spins:

Spin 2: -2
Spin 3: 6
Spin 4: 4

A key part of this math game is spinning the wheel three times before guessing the fourth.

Ask yourself:

Would the player have as good of a chance of winning if they only pun the wheel twice beofre guessing?

Nope. quatt47 is wrong. The "barker's" second answer is -13 not 13.

Next number is 25. The trick is that the player's numbers are irrelevant. The barker starts with number 1 representing the first answer and adds 6. He then adds six each time.

1 + 6 = 7
7 + 6 = 13
13 + 6 = 19
19 + 6 = 25
