this is a hilarious question. theoretically, for those that counted time on minimum wage, are we including overtime? and any figures that come out...does not include expenses for maiteinance, such as insurance, household bills, services, doctor visits. all i know is....i'd be richer than bill gates

well lets just say this
If you were paied min. wage(in illinois) $6.50 an hour.
x's 24 hrs a day=$156
x's 7 days a week=$1,092
x's 4 weeks a month=$4368
x's 12 months a year=$52,416.00
Saddly, it takes alot to raise a child, and ontop of all of the motherly duties women have, most of us still have to go to work ontop of the 24/7 mom job, and the 24/7 careing for the house job, and (if spouseless) the 24/7 dad job.

1) Depends on the quality of the work. Some mothers should earn millions. While others should owe the state. lol lol lol

2) The children are the reward!

Someone recently added up the pay for all the jobs that a mother does (nanny, maid, cook, etc.) and came up with something like $140,000. I don't remember where I read that, but you could probably find the article with some clever Googling.

That is the worst question! Being a mom is priceless! I find it to be a privilage that i cherish every day, even when we're fighting.

Altho if we were to put it into dollars, a cool million a year should cover it

Well lets see......
Wake-up call service every morning: 65.00

Breakfast every morning.................... 225.00

Taxi cab to school................................240.00

Lunch every day...................................255.00

Taxi cab home from school.................240.00

Dinner every eavning............................300.00

Taxi cab to soccer, football, dance, etc..240.00

Laundry service for a month...................250.00

Tutor for homework.................................200.00
That comes out to $2015.00 per month and we haven't even factored in the cost of two showers a day, electricity whey they run thru the house and leave the doors open and all the lights on, school clothes, shoes, and supplies, money we give them because they just HAVE to have an ipod or fancy cell phone. Also factor in the reality that mothers never get holiday pay ,paid vacation, or sick days, that should add about 10,000.00 to their yearly salary right there. Lets just round it off to a cool 100,000.00 per year. That ought to take care of it right moms? And I didn't even add in the wear and tear on our vehicles from muddy football gear and spilled sodas or melted crayons!

They have a salary to figure this out....go to momsalary.com and you can figure out how much you should be making. With all that you do it really adds up and if you work full time it is even more money. It is fun to check it out though!
