Ok, I know this might be a stupid question for all of you who know the answer to this, but I honestly have no clue.

Some cats like to just sniff catnip. Some like to rub on it or roll in it. And some eat it. Then there are the cats who don't like catnip at all, and those who ignore it. There are no "rules" about catnip, so don't worry, no matter what your kitty does with it.

Its not a dumb question at all.I have had cats that sniff it, roll in it, and yes, even eat it. It just depends on the cat & its personality. Of course, if your cat decides it likes the flavor of the catnip, it may be adviseable to limit the cats intake until you are sure that it settles OK on the "tummy". I don't believe it could hurt your cat anymore than maybe an upset tummy. Hope you have fun watching your cat, they can be very entertaining!! I've had some cats that just get "hyper" and run around & play like a new kitten- and then I've had cats that roll in it and then just lay back and kind of "zone"!! (we called her "stoney"!!) Its a delightful scent to catrs and they sniff it only never ever are to eat it that would be wrong

Mine eats it and rolls in it and rips it up and carries it around the house and protects it from the dogs.

booth and love to roll in it 1 of cats gets so jumpy and loves to play its fine but keep it to just a pinch a day

They eat it, it's good for their digestion and makes them a little goofy.

It makes them high, sort of like a strong drug. They scratch at it, tear it up, eat it, and beg for more!!!!!!!!!!!
