I think I've been sheltered or something. I've been married for nearly 4 decades and I have heard people talk about how morals have gone way down in this country in the past 20-30 years..but I think I'm now just seeing it. My kids all tell me that I don't want to know how bad it is out there. People living together unmarried and having children, multiple sex partners of 10-20 or more. I've been reading in the family & relationship section...I am just floored how these people talk and think.

Is this just me or does anyone else see what is going on here...we are going to have a generation of dysfunctional people beyond description...and their only defence seem to be is "Hey..don't judge me"...spoken like a true child.
It reminds me of the Roman Empire.

Anyone else see this garbage..or is this just me?

Morality started going down the tubes in the 1960's with the hippie movement. Now we have 4 generations of people who care only about themselves, they have no code to live life by, they have no self respect, not even respect for themselves, they don't discipline their kids, the kids run amok and become criminals, and people today ask why this is happening.

You are defiinitely not alone. In the past 2-3 years of my 21 years of life I have already seen enough crazy things around me which I couldn't have even imagined!!! Things are seriously getting out of hand and the bigger problem is that people doing these crazy do not seem to realise it.

Yes things are in a sad state. It makes me think of the Roman Empire too, during the phase when it was crumbling.

Haha, I thought you were asking at first if HAVING morals was really as bad as it looks!

I suppose it depends on where your level or "morals" lies. Now, I'm a pretty liberal person, so I feel like the world is still pretty repressed. "Morals" aren't the issue, but ignorance and hatred.

What you think of as immorality is simply the evolution of society's way of thinking. You may not like it, but that alone does not make it immoral. Change is change and you can either get used to it or protest it, but no matter what you do change will happen.

Yes, it's as bad as it looks (& probably worse). But the human heart has always been wicked.
