I'm not sure who you want to answer this question. Are you addressing atheists or everyone?
Anyway perhaps your friend is merely using the Lord's name in vain.
Or maybe she is aware of this:
Romans 1:19-20
"that which is known about God is evident within them, for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse".
Or maybe she is going along with a culture that is so anti-Christian that blaspheming God's name doesn't bother her, since "everyone is doing it".
But if you were wanting atheists to answer this then I apologize. I am a Christian.
Take care.

Does she have Tourettes Syndrome? If not, I have no idea what "unintentionally" means. But regardless, she is just using a slang expression of suprise or disgust or whatever.

Hi AR, even an atheist is a believer as he/she also believes in something but not necessarily what others believe in! This universe is big enough to accommodate all!
Basically, everyone reacts to one's origin which is one's mother's womb! That is what 'Oh my God' refers to!

I asked if atheist women once cried out "Oh God" during sex... the answers were hilarious but that question got deleted.... it's just an ingrained part of society now.

I often laugh at myself for saying this too, as I am an atheist. What it shows is how pervasive Christianity is, and how it has entered all parts of society. But that doesnt mean it is good or right.

We say lots of things as expletives that don't actually mean what the words would seem to. Ever said "Oh crap"? Did it mean that you stepped in crap, or crapped your pants, or that a giant pile of crap was falling from the sky to crush you? Probably none of these, and nothing to do with crap at all. It's just sounds coming out of your mouth.

Nothing more than a statement of Shock and Awe (another hilarious expression). Sometimes I write Oh my (there is no) god...

I say God d*** it, that does not mean that I actually want God to d*** something. It is just an expression.

I don't believe in 'god' but I say it quite a bit..... I'm trying to stop as I haven't got a 'my god', its just habit, picked up through annoying my mum when I was younger i think, and social norms. she hated me saying it, shes a 'believer'

It's just a statement of surprise or awe; it has nothing to do with the Divine.
