I have a new DVD Recorder and I would like to transfer all my videos to DVD.
Can I hook my Video player to my DVD Recorder, if so how can I, and what leads do I need?

You MAY be able to do it with a SCART lead but some videos are 'macromedia' protected to prevent direct copying.

Using a SCART to PHONO set and plug them into the correct places (normally yellow, red & white). This bypasses the normal checks as it's now a less complex set of signals.

Really depends on your video player. If it uses a Scart Lead (rectangle block with approx 20 pin-like bits in it), then disconnect the scart from the telly/sky/whatever its connected to and plug it into the DVD recorder/

If the video uses the RCA cables (Red White and Yellow cables) then you need to connect these into the dvd recorder. If the DVD recorder only has a scart input then you will need a RCA to Scart adaptor (about £1.50)

I could provide more detail if you give the make and model number for the video and dvd recorder.

scart lead is what you need, put it from your video to the DVD player and you should be able to record

SCART lead should be enough ... just link it from VCR to Line 1 on the Recorder.

make sure you use a high quality scart lead...... chuck the black ones away, they are awful, you connect the video to the dvd recorder line2/av2... and the av1/line1 goes to tv...
