I doubt it, scientifically impossible! The Christians just put that in the bible because women that have had sexual relations back then were viewed as unclean or not pure. Remember that Mary wasn't married yet, and why did she flee, hmmm, kind of a coincidence don't ya think. She would have been stoned to death if people knew she had sex before she was married. Also, The Virgin birth didn't come into existence until the Vote on Jesus divinity was given, it makes Jesus look Divine.

The Church is ONE-HOLY and MYSTERIOUS. Until you become aware of this, you will ask questions like these. Yes Mary gave birth to only one child, Jesus the Christ, but she remained a virgin. Visit THE CHURCH, soon, you will get all your answers. At your request I will Pray for you, so you will be filled with the HOLY SPIRIT and Wisdom will come your way.

That depends on the definition and how it was translated down thru the centuries. In some places during that time the word used did not mean having never had sex but having never given birth/been with child before. The actual answer is lost to history.

Are you kidding? A young girl in her situation who was NOT a virgin would have been very quickly put to death in the society she lived in.
Oh, yeah, Mary was a virgin, alright, and Joseph, her husband, believed in her. He did not have sex with her until after Jesus was born.
If he, of all men, trusted in her virginity, then I think we can consider the matter closed.

Some say yes, some say no. No way to tell now, is there? I'd be interested in how many translations the word went through to get to English.

Yes Mary was a virgin when she became pregnant with Jesus. She was impregnated by the Holy Spirit of God.

that was just made up by the church because they think sex is evil. I guess they thought Mary would be looked upon as holier if she gave birth as a virgin.

No, Mary was a creative liar.
