What do you think? Through careful consideration of the universe and life on earth, I think that happiness is a chemical and that bringing children into the world is immoral. Dying is meaningless and inevitable. We should just exploit our chemistry one last time and quit all this nonsense. Anyone have a better plan, or some new input?

I'm scared, of course. And kind of bummed, but this is my conclusion.

Yeah, you can all do whatever you want. I'm just saying that if we were really objective about it, we wouldn't want to play computer games or keep living.

Well, it really doesn't matter if you like life or not. You won't miss it.

I'm objective about it, and I still feel like living and playing computer games, sorry. If you can't have fun then go ahead, but leave everyone else out of it. Don't try to make other people depressed just because you are, dick. Our emotions are chemical, so what? What does that change? Fun is still fun.

I'm not sure why you feel this way or how you arrived at this conclusion. I think regardless of what you believe comes after, life can be wonderful journey of exploration and learning. You can make your life meaningful by bringing happiness to others or doing things to try to improve the world. While the world isin't perfect I think there are many wonderful moments you can experience in life and if you choose to have children they can as well. I hope you will reconsider your feelings on the subject.

yeah, well you hit the problem in your ? when you said you were scared and bummed. I would think that fear is causing the despair, tho they both feed on one another. Try to just detach a bit from your fear, not analyze or try to explain it, not judge or fight it. After a bit you may see it for what it is; fear cannot exist on its own, it needs our input and thought to thrive. fuckfear. If happiness is just a chem., so are we. I've tried that path; it is not a happy one. So I trashed it. I prefer a more spiritual journey now (not religious) I think you need to remember & know we are not meaningless, and you are the only one who can change your life to give it more meaning...try to do it in a fun way...
cheers

Can I play computer games for 30-50 years first?

I retain the right to disagree. My children have nothing to do with immorality. They are beautiful, sweet, loving, and every moment I get to spend with them bad or good is a blessing.

I feel sorry for you, but some of us happen to find a meaning to life... why don't you try to find yours, instead of weeping about how miserable you are? Just a thought anyways...
