Actually, fleas like mosquitoes can detect which people or animals make a more profitable meal. This is natural and instinctive. Just like you can make a preference over bologna for steak, so can a mosquitoe choose you over someone else. But if you really want to know the truth. It is something in your diet you are eating which draws them.

Apparently some people are more "attractive" to the flea. I don't know why. They always seemed to like me more than they did the cats.

Mosquitoes like me too.
