Donate it to Locks of Love, an organization that uses human hair to make wigs for people with cancer who've lost their hair through chemotherapy. The only stipulation is, the hair must be virgin; i.e., not dyed, bleached or permed.
By performing this humanitarian service, you'll feel much better inside than by selling your long hair to a commercial wigmaker. The small amount of money you get will not even compare with the spiritual blessing of giving.

You probably can't make any money on it. They usually get locks for wigs from very strong chemically free hair from ladies from foreign counries like Mexico and Italy (they have naturally stronger hair.) These women don't get paid very much...so here in the States (assuming...) you wouldn't get a competitive pricing.
Just donate it to Locks Of Love. Most nice salons can help you out with that. You will receive a nice "Thanks" letter from a recepient and you will feel great about it.

be self-less and give it to those who have lost their hair to make wigs--they are going through horrible treatments for cancer fighting for their lives--it would be the the nice thing to do.
