One was when I visited a candle shop and the owner came over to me when I came through the door and asked me what "sign" I was and some other pretty spiritual things. Also, a friend, one night as I was leaving her home, turned to me as I stood at her door to leave and said I had the most magnificent lavendar aura around me that it was awesome. Wow, does anyone know if this stuff really exists???

Yes, it does exist. It sounds as if you're such a happy or positive person that it positively spills out of you.

Here's a link to one site which gives meanings for the colors. It's just one of many. The meaning of lavender given here doesn't sound like someone who'd leave such a big impression. perhaps the person who said lavender really meant another shade of purple. Violet seems more likely.

A lavender aura means:
Fantasy, enchantment, dreams, myths, spiritual beings, angels, fairies are all concepts which fill the Lavenders’ mind. Lavenders tend to live in a fantasy world. They prefer to spend their time out of their bodies, where life is pretty and enchanting. It is challenging for these airy beings to live in three-dimensional reality.

Lavenders prefer imaginary pictures of the world, seeing butterflies, flowers and wood nymphs rather than dirt, concrete and large cities. Physical reality seems cold and harsh to them. These sensitive creatures are fragile and frail, and their physical appearance is often weak and pale.

Lavenders’ skin is often alabaster white because they don’t like being outdoors, unless it is to be gently surrounded by beautiful flowers and gardens. These child-like personalities are sensitive and simple. Lavenders would rather spend time watching clouds float by or daydreaming. They prefer to escape this reality with all of its demands and responsibilities.

The Lavenders behavior tends to frustrate others who may expect them to be dependable and responsible. Lavenders have no understanding of what it means to hold a responsible job or to earn money. They are more familiar with other dimensions and imagined realities.

Lavenders even have a difficult time relating to or connecting with the concepts of time, space and physical matter. They tend to experience events in their imaginations, but they are not usually grounded enough in physical reality to actually accomplish anything tangible.

It is well known; the earth has an electo-magnetic field around it...this holds true for the human body also.. it can be measured... apparently some people are able to perceive it visually. Is the reason you hear occasionally, someone with migraine syndrome can shut computer systems down, have an effect on the lighting system, etc.. This field becomes very intense during this episodic event of headache. This radiation comes from the shoulders to the top of the head.. It can influence electircal systems from as far away as 50 feet. They have to be a bit closer to shut down a computer.

As odd as this seems, the last time I mentioned this subject there were many comments from others, having the same experiences.

The Bible speaks of how bright Moses' countenance was when he came down from Mt. Sinai with the Ten Commandments, so I'd be inclined to believe that it's possible. Maybe not in the same sense as that person in the candle shop was thinking, but close....

My teacher once told me that he could see the aura of a monk when we were in India, I couldn't. Personally I'm skeptical, but who knows, maybe more spiritual people perceive things a different way!?

I believe we all have an aura. To me, it's a snapshot of who we really are (as opposed to who we pretend to be alot of the time). It's like an energy that emanates from the soul. If we pay attention, that 'vibe' we feel from others, good in some, bad in others, is from their aura.
