Help with mac computers??

I have a program on mac and then whenever I go to open it it says you must have 1MB free disk space. I have deleted programs and pictures and mp3 files, that is what my friend told me to do. But it didn't work, and I dont know what to do.

You may have deleted them but they are still on your hard drive. Click on your finder (or desktop picture), go under the menu that says finder, hit empty trash, and then on. Viola, free space

What kind of program is it? I can't imagine you don't have 1MB free space. You may want to uninstall this program.
