Like an IM friend? Probably not...may I suggest trying something more productive like finding a foreign pen pal? If you want someone to talk to online (hopefully, you have real life friends to round out your friendships, too!), this is a great way to learn a new language. So...you get to know someone, and learn a language (and probably teach them English) as well.

Yes, I met here a girl from Mexico City and next Saturday we're going together to the wedding of one of my friends in Monterrey, it's a long story but yes, you can find friends here.

no not really. this isnt a good place to meet people. this is basically a place for people to ask questions and get them answered.
maybe your next question should be, "Where is a good place on the Internet to meet new friends?"
