My fiance is Catholic and I want to convert. How do I track down church records, if I'm not even sure which church it was.

Don't bother looking if you don't have the paperwork to back up what you think you might be. Start from scratch. I can't believe I am giving advice to a would be catholic!!!

You just need to let your priest know the situation. He can determine if you need to be conditionally baptized. My guess is that would be the best option.

Baptism will not save you. It is an obedience to Christ. Only faith in the Lord Jesus Christ will save you.
