Withdrawal from Effexor can have some difficult symptoms, including dizziness.

You might be tapering off too quickly.

Talk to your doctor; she may want to increase the dose or decrease the time between doses.

Effexor was a ***** for me to start *and* taper off of. I don't know if there's something you can take (like another med) to lessen the effects. It's OK once you're on it, but it's hard to go on or off it. If it's too hard to deal with, see if you can stay on it and try going off of it again later. It's better to be on it a little longer than to suffer so much while going off it--I mean, I went off it and it was really hard, but I wouldn't have done it if I'd been under a lot of stress or whatever. If it's too much to handle, fight it another day.

i am on effexor myself and i am still on it but i see a lot of ppl in here going off the medication for one reason or another and they have all had vicious side effects with it so from what i have seen this is just normal side effects from withdrawing from the drug and in about a week if it doesnt clear up call your dr back and ask what to do because you are a mom and have responsibilities at home you have to have a sound mind and body to care for your family

I had to get off effexor quick when i became pregnant, and it was awful, I had hot and cold sweats, headaches, and dizziness. so i know how it feels, ask your doc if you can snap tablets from 37.5mg to 18.75 it lessens the side effects, Good luck

Its pretty common. Check with your doctor about your symptoms. Also follow your doctors guidelines on the lithium, you can get a toxic amount if you take more than prescribed. Good luck.

I can always tell if I forgot to take my Effexor. I get light headed and have mini foggy times. Why are you going off of them? They really help
