If she's ovulating, she can get pregnant. Is she menopausal or does she have some health issues (obesity, e.g.)? I don't think she can get pregnant after menopause.

It depends on why she hasn't had a period. Is she taking hormonal birth control that stops her period? If so, yes, she can probably still get pregnant (after she stops taking the birth control). Is she severely overweight, and this is why she's not menstruating? She can probably conceive a child if she loses some weight and gets her menstrual cycle back to normal and ovulates again. Does she have a medical condition that's causing this? If so, hopefully she's receiving treatment by a doctor, and she should seek his or her opinion as far as becoming fertile again. Is she an older woman who has gone through menopause? If so, then no--pregnancy is not possible because she's no longer ovulating.

My first question is how old is she? If she's in her late 40s and 50s more than likely she's in menopause and no she won't get pregnant or the likelihood isn't good. Especially not after 5 years.
However if she is young twenties to early 40s, how's her health? Is she eating properly? Has she seen her family doc or obgyn lately? That's not normal for someone younger to not have periods, although some athletes or women with anorexa nervosa can go without periods because they're not getting enough food.
She really needs to see a doctor and discuss this and you should probably go with her.

YES, Tell her to find a good GY. I never had a period and I have a wonderful and beautiful 5 year old little girl. Never Give Up!
I went through this for years. She may e-mail me if she needs to talk. Been there!

Sure there's a chance. That all depends on why she hasn't been having her period. You really need to talk to her doctor who can give you an answer considering all of the facts of your case.

It really depends on what is happening to cause her not to get periods. Your best bet is to speak to her doctor, so that you both can undergo fertility testing. From there, you can decide what plan of action you want to take. Even if she is not able to get pregnant naturally, there are still options which may be available for you.

Sounds like she has gone through menopause...she can check with her Dr to see if she still ovualtes. They can send her for a blood test.
