But I met a really nice guy last week and he has taken me out almost every night...But I really am not attracted to him. Is it possible to become attracted to someone over time?

Heh I am in that exact situation right now. Or, I was.
I started seeing a guy just as friends, and then we progressed it to dating and "stuff" without ever really discussing it, that is just how it went naturally. I kept wondering what was wrong with me because I didn't feel that "spark" you get when you are attracted to someone. I thought maybe we just weren't meant for each other.
Now, it has been awhile, and I realized - I am falling in love with him. Just because the initial attraction wasn't there, didn't mean I didn't like him as a person. And as time went by, I BECAME attracted, to his personality and quirks.
Take a minute to think about it. Do you like being with him? Does he make you laugh? Do you feel happy around him? Your answer can come with time.

I think you can be attracted to someone over time but i think you need some sort of spark between you in the beginning b/c theres no point being with someone who is completely unattractive in every way to you b/c it won't work. If he's really into you i would not take it any further b/c that would be a bit cruel.

It CAN happen. I wouldn't count on it thought. Woman usually know if they are into a guy pretty fast. I know you feel bad because you think you "should" like him. He is a nice guy, he takes you out, he treats you good BUT, you just aren't. It is unfair to keep him from finding someone who will enjoy the great qualities this gentleman has to offer as well as be attracted to him.

Id have to say no. I have been in this situation soooo many times. Or I start out being attracted to them, but after a few dates its gone. So I split, whats the point in wasting more of your time or his, especially if a month down the road youre still not feelin it & hes waaaay into you by then.

Sure. It took me nearly three months of little choices to love my present beloved as 'just friends' before I 'fell in love'. I believe that it's possible to become attracted to anyone if you have the right attitude.

yes it's possible. Me and my last boyfriend started just hanging out and going places together. I wasn't really attracted to him, I actually kind of avoided him at first for a while before he started hanging out. later we kind of grew on eatchother and dated for 3 years before we split up.

yes, absolutely. His smile will all of a sudden become endearing, his charm and personality will win you over. Give it a few more weeks and if you still haven't felt anything for him, then I would say end it.
Good luck.

I don't think so, although I could be wrong. If there are no sparks, I usually run the opposite direction. It's even hard to be friends with someone who you know would rather see you naked.

Maybe, but, if you have been out several times and you feel nothing, then you had better be honest with him and say that you only like him as a friend so that he wont feel betrayed if your feelings for him never change (and I am assuming that they wont if you feel nothing by now).
