Well here is the deal...I told my girlfriend I could take her to see "Invincible" but I didn't know when. Her friend however from down the street asked her if she wanted to go see it Friday. Well, without me or her brother there I don't know if she can go b/c I don't know enough about the movie. Her brother and I came up with some rules for our women when watching movies. We don't want them seeing bloody violence or hearing the "f" or "s" word or "GD". Also, we don't want them seeing men in their underwear or less than that. Usually we have the TV guardian hooked up on videos to mute the foul language and either I or her brother can tell her to cover her eyes when a bad scene is coming. However, I can't go this Friday and neither can her brother b/c we are going to a baseball game. I'm afraid with the movie being football and all there might be a locker room scene where a man might be in his underwear and I think she would peak. With it being PG I doubt there is much language.

Does anyone know if this is appropriate for a 24 year old lady? I haven't seen it yet.

No offense...but you sound like a moronic control freak. Please give me your GF's email so I can tell her to dump you on your pompus ***.

You're kidding, right? That's moronic. I could understand PARENTS preventing their CHILDREN from seeing this content (though certification is more lax than it used to be) but a 24 year old being disallowed by her boyfriend to see a PG film? That's probably the most moronic thing I've heard in a long time!
She's 18, you have no control over anything in her life. She should know that she has the right to make her own decisions in life - so stop feeding her crap.

Let her go see the movie. Just because she hears a F/S/GD word in a movie doesn't mean she'll pick it up and use it because she thinks it's fashionable, nor she might find men in their underwear necessarily arousing *cough* but you can't avoid showing her the facts of life.

I'm just going to assume you're kidding, and hope she doesn't stick with such a control freak.

Should you let her? You sound like her daddy. It would be so sweet if you were concerned she may need a shoulder to cry on or she has told you she really soen't want to go alone, but right now you and her brother sound like some real control freaks. Even cartoons have violence and people ion their underwear..get over it.

She hears foul language everyday . As long as you or your friends are not the ones using the language you can't protect a 24yr old from it unless you live lone in the middle of the desert or something.

I still can't believe in 2006 a male can ask should I let her?.....Let her decide what she wants to do.

Oh. my. God.

YOU AGAIN?!?!?

I hope you keep this stuff up for a little while longer, and that she realizes that she is a grown woman, and LEAVES YOU. Poor girl, her brother is the same way....
I hope and pray that she can get away from both of you. Do you keep a baby moniter in the bathroom too? You know, something terrible could happen in there. She could fall in!! And then she might say a dirty word that she learned before you got your hooks in her!!! I bet she's not "allowed" to go into public restrooms. People write dirty words in the stalls!!! She'd never be the same!!! Maybe someday, in the near future, someone will come out with a "mind reading" device, and you could implant it into her brain, and then you'd even be able to control what she thinks!! Your life would be perfect, wouldn't it?
You must be so much better than the rest of us.

First of all this is still a free country. She is 24 years old for crying out loud! You cannot have "rules for the women". ...how stupid is that? If she wants to go see the movie, then daggummit she should go. YOU should not tell her what to see and what not to see! I am married and if I want to watch a movie with scenes where men are in their underwear, my husband doesn't tell me I can't!
You and her brother need to freaking relax! I'm sure you watch movies with girls in thier underwear, well as my great-grandpa used to say....what's good for the goose, is good for the gander.

You seriously have some issues.

You need to let go and start letting her live life on her own.

I hope she enjoys seeing sweaty men half naked in locker rooms. Oh hey, while your at it, tell her she needs to see Boogey Nights if she likes Mark Wahlberg.

Remember, they are not children, you should not be treating them like that. I think someone needs to go kick her brothers' and your ***. Dont be a moron.

Who the hell cares if she doesnt know much about football? You reall are turning out to be a prick. Maybe she just has a thing for Marky Mark, women are like that... Oh wait, you didnt know that cause you have no soul, but you already knew that too.

I'm gonna assume this is not a real question. I'm gonna assume that you're not really talking about keeping a 24yr old from going to the movies. I'm gonna assume you have a lil pee-pee and that's why you're worried about your chic seeing a possible locker room scene where she may see a real piece of "meat". I'm gonna assume that both you and your girlfriend's brother are insecure, controlling, jerk-offs. I don't really know any of that to be fact, I'm just ASSUMING!!

It is obvious from ALL of your questions that you are either just trying to get a rise out of all of us, or you are a controlling idiot. She needs to get away from you as fast as she can, as well as your brother's girlfriend. YOU are not her master or her conscience.
And, if you are worried about her "peeking" at a man on screen in his underwear, you must be mighty "small". Afraid she will see something she likes better?

I think she's a grown woman and it should've really matter what you say. She's got a will of her own and if she wants to see it with or without you its up to her.

I'm sorry but absolutely no man is going to tell me what movies I can and cannot see whether they're with me or not. You wouldn't last five minutes around me.

she is 24years old and you have to controll her like that? You sound like a very controlling person. At 24 she can make up her own mind on what is right and wrong. very sad that it is ok for you to watch but she cannot
