I lived in Europe for a few years on & off as a baby & was baptized there. I don't have any records. I want to start RCIA in America. What if I can't prove it, do you think the church still has records? Will my new church hear be able to call or fax overseas or what? Thank you.

Contact the bishop of the area in which you were baptised, or the pastor if you remember which city, diocese etc. it was. They keep records going back longer than the 70's. They should be able to fax a copy for you.
It might be better if your current priest made the request for you.

I went through RCIA last year.

Try to contact your old church by phone or email. I didn't have to give RCIA my records.

Good luck with RCIA. And may God bless his Holy Church.

I don't think that any church is going to think you're lying if you say you've been baptised but haven't any records of it. If you say that you've accepted God into your life, you should be a shoe-in.
