I have to give my 2 year old daughter Benadryl for allergies pretty often. The dose for her is 1 teaspoon and she weighs 29 pounds. Hope that helps.

The doctor just told me this past weekend I could give my son 12.5 mg up to 4 times a day. I had the infant/ ped type and it measured out to be 5cc/ml. My son will soon be 3years old and weighs 30lbs. I hope that helps.

get a bottle for infants/toddlers and go by that, or call the doctor for the doseage in 'mg' and calculate the dose with the doctor over the phone.

Check with your pediatrician....and while you're at it, check to see if it has any pseudoephedrine in it -- some children (like my son) have an adverse reaction to it, and need to avoid it. Just get something with acetaminophen instead.

If it says ages 6 - 12, it is the wrong type. He may still need infant's benedryl.

Just read the labels carefully! And call your doctor's office if you can decide what to do.

Check the back of the label, it should say!!! I would say 1 1/2 tsp...max...I would play it safe and say 1 tsp is plenty.
Call your local drug store, the pharmist will tell u for sure....

i'd run it by the pediatrician or pharmacist. sometimes benadryl can be too much for little ones.
