To remove the flesh from a mango, cut through the mango parallel to the seed, that is, on the flat side. Use the knife to skim the surface of the seed, cutting over it. Repeat on the other side; you should then have 2 slightly concave halves of mango. Using a sharp knife, carefully cut the flesh down to the skin but not through the skin, making strips in one direction and across, making cubes of mango. Turn the mango inside out, forcing the flesh upwards to look like a blunt porcupine. Slice the cubes of mango away from the skin. If you don't want cubed mango, remove the flesh from the seed in the same way, but peel the mango. Then cut the flesh into strips or slices.

Hi Jess,
The other day i tried the mango-with natural yogurt and crushed ginger snaps which advertised on the Sainsburys advert. I hav'nt had mango that often nefore but this time i brought a large mango, and i had the same type of trouble the stone is too big and i you just cant get it out. The sides of the mango right near the skin is fine to cut but it's just when you've done that then your working your way through it really gets in the way. But no all the trouble i had i think that would be really impossible. Good luck though if your gonna try in the future x

The only way, I suspect, is the obvious way. Use a knife, cut the mango along its longest axis all the way around and separate the two halves, plucking the stone out of the half it ends up in with the knife.
