I just read a question regarding Devils Advocate and one idiot wrote that they were trying to ban Captain Atheism. That is just wrong. It is just like a fundamentalist fanatic to promote censorship. Every one has a right to their opinion, even yours.
If they can be banned than where can I complain about it?

It says something about how secure that some people think that there position is.
I'm agnostic and have debated with atheists on here before, and no atheist has ever:
1) sent me hate mail
2) tried to ban me
3) attacked me by name in a post.
but I've had all three done repeatedly by people on the far right.
I don't blame all theists. There are some christians here who are very nice to talk to and have a good sense of humor. But then there's the evangelicals and fundamentalists...

Man this is America last I checked anyone can say whatever they want to. We have freedom of speech you know. We are free to our own beliefs. I am not an atheist but I don't have a problem with atheist posting questions because I have a choice weather or not to read them. I am shure that the people that are complaining about this are the same people that will say some are UN American because they don't like our president and they don't think we should force all those people to go back to their country. I guess they would say I am un American but that's just because they are ignorant. I was born in America and I have lived here all my life and part of being an American is having the right to think feel and say whatever you want to and to be an individual and not what others think you should be. Don't you think the people that are saying that others are UN American are relay the ones that are UN American I mean they are basically saying that other Americans don't have a right to their own opinions unless they agree with them.

Banning people for their honest opinion is just wrong, this is a public and open forum.
There are a few, however, that I think should be banned just because they are doing nothing but spreading hate (and I am speaking of atheists AND the religious folk), but that is a personal thought.
As for Captain Atheism. . . I like him. Don't always agree, but he is honest and logical in some of his answers.

I agree....I am a Christian and Catholic convert. I often disagree with what this person states or poses. However, I agree this is an open forum and everyone has a right to their own opinion....even if I think its wrong.
Open dialog between opposing views can be healthy. Maybe some of the atheist that come here will cease being atheist after a while.

the one about captain atheist was about captain atheist trying to get someone else banned. and devils advocate can be a creep sometimes ( alot of times), but so what, he is just keeping crap going.I'm a Christian, but i do believe in freedom of speech even though some stuff is really un-necessay.

It is an open forum, I would be upset if we were banned. Besides, if they did ban us, I would probably jut lie to get back in. I like this category. It is interesting to see so many people's different opinions.

I agree... it's wrong. And just shows that they can't handle anything outside of their own little world. I suggest that if that poster continues, then you go directly to his page (click on his avatar) and report him as abusive till they do something about him. *Shrug* Personally, I have yet seen a need to report anyone... I prefer keeping people like that around so that I can taunt them.

Atheism is a valid spiritual belief and if ANYONE gets banned for it contact me and we will FIGHT it on religious grounds.

honey, read again, i said Captain atheism is trying to ban ME. he already got my last id banned and has been trying to get all the atheists on here to do the same with this one
