Most studies indicate that 2 drinks a day are not harmful. Wine seems to have a safer profile than other liquors.

1 or 2 ... and I don't drink. Some folks around these parts, think a case a day is normal, and if it's between 2 or 3 people, they'll be going back to the store! I will drink a margarita, or a Blue Hawaiin, or a Colorado Bulldog, but 1 each of those is plenty! ( that's if I drink anything. I probably have 3 Margaritas a year, I'm a CocaColaholic!

Alcohol has its own self defense mechanism. Once you exceed a certain number of drinks, you forget how many you had, thereby making the number much smaller. Negating your request for a specific number, or you could just say infinite

If you are concerned about your drinking then you have a problem. You have to accept that its not the size of the problem, its how it affects you. I drink a lot less than most peple, but I have a problem in that when I start I cannot stop. Get in touch if you want to talk.

In Canada, doctor and insurances companies consider 1-2oz per day an acceptable level.

The standard seems to be 2 per day. I think you can drink as much as you want unless it leaves you with a headache (or worse).
