I was leaving a traffic light in my Charger R/T which has Traction Control and accelerated much faster than anyone else. Once I got to the speed limit I set the cruise. The officer pulled me over and I had no idea what I did wrong. He procedeed to tell me that he had to go 100 to catch up with me. I told him I set the cruise at the speed limit. Then he said that 'my tires broke' when I pulled off the light. It was wet and raining. Unfortunately I was driving under a suspended license, so I HAVE to get the stop thrown out. Any ideas?

Thanks

well, think you better contact a lawyer because regardless of the traffic part of it, peeling out at a stoplight or speeding, the fact you were driving on a suspended is the most serious aspect and the one thing you can't exactly "disprove"...

More than likely though, he stopped you for the suspended, by running your plates...then ticketed you for anything else...

Point of the matter is, you are suspended for a reason, and there isn't any excuse a judge will listen to that you can justify why you were behind a wheel. Think you are screwed.

Are they going to impound your vehicle? Have they impounded your plates yet? Are you questioning the validity of the stop? What did the police officer do to cause you to think the stop is invalid? Get an attorney and see what you are likely to be facing, and meanwhile, stop driving if you are without a valid license, you'll likely just get pulled over again and compound the situation.

If you can afford a Charger, why couldn't you afford to get your DL back ?
I am also curious as to why your DL is suspended. Perhaps the fact that you are a BAD driver may also indicate that your story may have left out important details.
Park the car, pay your fines, and get your DL back. Then, enjoy your fine auto while operating it in the proper manner.

Hire a lawyer. But your going to burn on the suspended license anyway though.
