my chihuahua breed 70 days ago, my vet said he felt no palputation, yet she is lacatating & over her due date?

Didn't you hear of false pregnancy. My dogs had them , ripped up sofa cushons .as a nest. walked around with a stuffed toy. eveywhere. and lactacted. even looked bigger aorund the belly. By her a couple of little toys and a quiet room with a blanket. At least this way , it will satisfy her hormones. Maybe the vet couldn't palpate. He should xray for sure. If you have the money. get a Sonigram if you are not satisfied. and 70 days is not too late. watch for a discharge. get a thermometer. oral baby. take her temp rectally. it should read between 100 and 102 101 ,, If she is going to deliver. in 24 hours. her tempiture would be 98 97. then she will soon go into labor. I hope you are lucky. she may need a c section. so never let her push and push for hours. You could lose both of them. go to the vet. and get his opinion. He is the expert if you plan to keep your dog healthy.

In other words he didn't feel any puppies, so this either means the breeding didn't take and she is going through a false pregnancy, she was pregnant but either reabsorbed the puppies or miscarried them. I would get the vet to either do an x-ray or an ultrasound just to make sure if there were any puppies that their are none dead and retained.

If the vet has determined she isn't pregnant, then she isn't..Chihuahuas get HUGE bellied, even though they are only having a few puppies...she will lactate when having a pseudo(false) pregnancy...and she will behave as if ready to have puppies..making a nest, etc...

It could be a false pregnancy. My dog went through this. Check with another vet.

i dont know what to tell you but if you dog is pregnant are you giving any up for adoption because i want a little dog like that soooo bad
