3 would be the perfect family for me,I have a 5 month old daughter, I would have loved to have 2 more, a boy and one more girl but my husband doesnt want anymore.

I would love twin boys or two boys three year apart. so two is my answer. I have had two miscarriages and I felt the first was a girl and the last was a boy I was told by a palm reader when I was 16 I would be pregnant 4 times 3 girls one boy but not all would be born so if this guy is rite ( like he has been and my feelings about my previous pregnancies are rite) I can expect 2 girls which is still wonderful.

In reality: three.. we already have two:: a 5 yr old & 8 mo old. Id love to get prego again NOW and have two kids close together but my husband isnt ready yet. So I have to be fair and wait for him. When I was growing up I used to say I wanted 5 kids: but that would be just too expensive: If I were rich Id have 5. Maybe your husband will change his mind with time!
