a. Peppermint oil: The active ingredient in peppermint oil is menthol. It prevents gas build-up that forces open the esophageal muscle to cause heartburn. So, how do we use this oil? Take this oil as coated capsules or as three to four cups a day of peppermint tea. However, keep this oil away from children and people with high blood pressure and even women who are pregnant.

b. Natural apple cider vinegar: Take one or two teaspoons of natural apple cider vinegar and raw honey in a glass of distilled water before meals to prevent heartburn. This combination also promotes digestion and neutralizes any body toxins. In case the taste of vinegar is a problem, take natural apple cider vinegar tablets and wash them down with honey water.

c. Other natural cures: Eating several almonds a day or lemon or even its rind before meals is known to relieve heartburn. You can avoid heartburn by eating dried figs, fresh pineapple and dried or fresh papaya. These foods are loaded with digestive enzymes that counter heartburn.

Heartburn is certain to afflict you at some point in your life. So, it’s better to be prepared beforehand, than to run around when it does occur. Go in for natural cures for heartburn. And yes, don't forget to make it a habit to lie on your left side. It helps relieve heartburn by keeping the stomach below the esophagus and preventing the acid from reaching it.

Zantac- it works for me and my husband very well. It doesnt work right away, but within half an hour to an hour, complete relief. In the meantime, I would eat a small bit of bread or crackers, something to settle your stomach and giev the acid something to work on. Do not lie flat, or drink anything carbonated for a while, until your stomach settles.

I mean no disrepect, but I would not try drinking vinegar, cider, or anything acidic while having heartburn. That would make it much worse.

ive heard that you can try drinking some apple cider with some vinegar. If your heartburn goes away, it is because you actually have little acid, which causes the same symptoms than acid reflux. If it does not work, zantac works for acid reflux as well as tums. I think you should try the first one that way you can rule out everything else and it isn't harmful to your body

I have been suffering from painful acid reflux symptoms that doctors found difficult to diagnose. Needless to say, pills and antacids didn’t cure me and the relief was temporary and sometimes insignificant.Until I found the information on this site ( http://heartburnnomore-guide.blogspot.co... ) it helped me in ways that I still cannot comprehend. My acid reflux symptoms are a thing of the past. It’s like I have never suffered from heartburn.

limit soda intake. Try some baking soda in water. Personally I like the liquid antacids for quick relief best. I keep it by the nightstand. Also if it is a problem at night, elevate the head of your bed 4-6 inches. MUCH Better on the reflux.

rinse his mouth out with a mixture of hyrogen peroxide and water. Becarefull not to use tooo much peroxide. (its also known to break down tissue). Then you need to get him started on antibotics to clear up the infection. After that is cleared then he can go to the dentist. I am on my way to the dentist right now myself. Hope that helps.

Hit your finger very hard with anything heavy in the area - preferably hard enough to break it. This will take your mind off of your heartburn.
