Atheists usually get married in the graveyard, at midnight, during a full moon. The ceremony involves dead cats, goat entrails, pig-masks and eye of newt.

Yes, and that is the fault of the religion, not the atheist. If the church was less interested in the money it gets for a wedding, and more interested in their own teachings, they would require you to profess your faith in church during the ceremony. I guess an atheist could lie about it, but most won't.
I'm an atheist and unlikely to marry; but if I did, it would be a civil ceremony at the town hall, not a mock-religious one.

Marriage is a LEGAL institution...this can be done at City Hall, a Justice of the Peace, on board a ship by a Captain, and even by ordained ministers....but no matter where it happens, it is not legal until the papers are filed with the local and state governments. So what is your question aimed at? Sorry, but I don't understand selecting Atheists out...where does anyone get married? Do you think that only religious people can get married?

does Atheists getting married in a church make sense to you?
Atheists don't do anything in churches. They don't believe in God, remember?
Probably they get married by a Justice of the Peace wherever they want, or in the JP's Office or home...

A hall, state office, backyard, park, anywhere. People who are strong believers in god often get married in other places besides a church also. Yes, atheist can get married in church too though. My father was atheist and my mother christian. She still loved him and he loved her, enough in fact to get married in a church. It didn't matter to him where as long as they would be together.

Anywhere religious people get married. Inlcuding, Yatchs, Court houses, Vegas, Churches, Halls, Outside, and wherever else I may have forgotten.
They might not choose a Religious themed wedding, but more of a non-denomination wedding.

I'm agnostic and so is my husband. We didn't want to have a religious ceremony since although we are neutral about God we aren't believers of religion. We wanted to get married in a beautiful nature setting so we got married on a beach in Barbados by a person with legal qualifications to marry but not member of any clergy.

My wife is agnostic and we got married in a church, but it was not our first choice. For the one I love I did this. Too much detail to get into.
