I have before but it is because I took the pregnancy test too soon. The best pregnancy test on the market is not accurate until 9 days after a missed period. Through a doctor it is 5 days after a missed period.

I have had better than a false negative or false positive...

After getting a positive result from an at home pregnancy test I called my doctors office to make an OB appointment. I was told I had to have a pregnancy test done with the lab first (insurance reasons). The lab test ( a BLOOD test) came back... BORDERLINE!!! I still have the lab sheet to prove it. I am told this was, understandably, the first time any one had gotten such result. The lab redid my bloodwork free... and my daughter, Danielle, was born 7 months later!!!

I did only because I took it too soon. I waited two more days. I was only one day late I think when I took the next ones, those came back positive. But yes I have and a false negative is a lot more likely to get then a false positive.

With this pregnancy I took a home test and it had only a very faint line. I was going to dismiss it because I had had it happen once before with no pregnancy. But I went ahead and went in for a blood test and it was positive.

I had six false negative with my first baby and 4 with my second. I just knew I was pregnant and I was. I knew before a test could make it show up. If you are earlier than five weeks, then your hormone levels may not be high enough to show up on the test.

Good luck to you :)

I tested 4 times before my missed period and all said negative. I waited 1 day after I missed my period and it was positive. I am due in November :-)
