The reason for the rapid spread of Islam was the attraction that the thinking people developed towards an ideal free from superstition upholding the worship of the ‘One and Only God’, the Creator and the pursuit of His messengers. It was only natural for those thinking people to be drawn to the practice of a faith that sought the path of ‘surrender to God’, at a time when their perceptions were fogged by false deities, and their agents who posed as priests. The ideal of ‘One God, one humanity’, simultaneously put forth by Islam, uproots the parochial beliefs put up in the name of ones birth. The access to the message of ‘one humanity’ experienced by those who were being oppressed in the name of religion and caste, further led to the propagation of Islam. The selfless and sincere lives led by Muslims who migrated different parts of the world for business purposes and the like, also drew the people of those countries to Islam.

To this day, Islam, which occupies the mind of man though manifold noble ways, continues to influence the thoughts and deeds of millions of peoples in all continents around the world, with its sterling ideals.

The Almighty God who created the universe, endowed man with a special gift of intelligence and thought, to enable him to discriminate between good and bad. Man has also been given, the freedom to choose his own path by either accepting or rejecting the instructions of the Almighty Creator. The divine revelations were conveyed by God to mankind through numerous prophets who preached the ideals to all communities during different periods of human history. The thousands of prophets whom God selected for human guidance have promulgated the basic doctrine with remarkable similarity. The belief in and the profound reverence for all messengers and revealed scriptures from God forms an integral part of Islamic faith. Islam is not a religion founded by Prophet Mohammed, (Peace Be Upon Him). The Qur’an has most emphatically corroborated the fact that the Islamic conception of life was revealed to man by a long chain of prophets chosen by the Almighty Creator.

Knowledge of any item is spread by placing it in the public eye. People see it and wonder what it is so they read up on it. Some are interested and follow it like sheep just like with any other Item or religion.

Say you wrote a book about the Great Tree Spirit Religion with a great god called The Great Sapling. Everyone would laugh at you till you got a few brainwashed people to go blow up something in the name of the Great Sapling. And maybe one or two to start shooting people in a public place where a TV News Team is near by and start Yelling I kill you all in the name of the Great Sapling. As you are being handcuffed just keep yelling quotes from the book and saying it's name a lot and you will see people start following it.

Think about it. People will start brainwashing their kids to this new religion and as they grow up they will start killing people because the book tells them that humans are killers of trees and all should die and if you take two humans with you you will get to swing on the great tire swing in the great tree in the sky.

islam is the most growing religion on earth now no matter how people fight it ..

we all tottaly understand that its impossible to force someone to be a muslim , christian or a jew .. Tottaly impossible .. even if u did , inside his/her heart not convienced!

well , true words can touch the heart directly , and saying false informations about any religion no matter what is it .. this is actually comming out from a sick heart!

the one who is really seeking for truth no matter what is it .. he leave all stupid comments and then go and search by himself

but bla bla bla is a big mistake .. cause word is a big responsbilty .. and if someone forgot what he said .. others maybe dont forget it .. and God also dont forget it ..

for example the guy above me (( anuneha31 )) who said convert or pay zakat or die !! ofcourse he is tottaly ignorant and example for bla bla

cause zakat is simply taxes between muslims only until these days .. collecting money from all people depending on their financial status ..then take that money and give to poor people or build hospitals with free charge for poors as well

but what he means is ( al gezya ) yes that was taxes for non-muslims

for what?? thats the question

non- muslims used to pay it in order not to go army .. so you pay ( al gezya) and u dont go to army .. but muslims go and fight for you if there is a treate outside the country !!

so simple! i think

anyway everyone shall be asked for what he did and said !

It's like kudzu. Someone planted the seed thinking it would be a good idea and then it just took over everything in it's path.

Secular historians place Islam's beginnings during the late 7th century in Arabia. Under the leadership of Muhammad and his successors, Islam rapidly spread by religious conversion and military conquest.

"The expansion of Islam was as much, or perhaps much more, a matter of religious conversion than it was of military conquest."
