The ball will give your lower back more support and make it possible for you do more sit ups than without it.

It's nice to have some cushioning for the back while doing sit-ups.
I like my body ball the best - it seems to give the most results - probably because it forces all my core muscles to keep the balance as well as do the crunches.

Oh my gosh-----the body ball has awesome results, but it's the hardest work out you will ever have.......you talk about a six pack.....you go girl......

Use a padded slant board. Any sporting goods store would have one. They don't cost a lot.
