She need a copy of her birth certificate. Does anyone know how to get it?

She is a Us Citizen and both her parents are US citizens. The base closed down and she is getting married and needs a copy.

If she was born at the Naval Air Station hospital, then the Bureau of Naval Personnel can help her get a copy of her birth certificate. The base is separate from the Commonwealth and the Commonwealth would not issue her birth certificate, the US Navy will. If you need it quickly, the best place to call to get things rolling is your congressman's office. They have a liaison with the Department of Defense who can get the forms faxed to her and have them faxed back quickly. It usually doesn't take more than a few weeks to have the birth certificate issued that way.

I don't know, but I have a suggestion. Call the USN recruiter in your town. He/She won't know either, but she/he will probably know who to ask in Washington, DC, and will be able to give you a phone number.

Isn't P.R. part of the U.S. territories?

If you live in Ca, it would be in Norwalk.
