If he asks you out and pays, then by all means you owe him something! A pleasant evening, enjoyable company, and at the very least, at some point in the evening, a smile. Other than that, you don't owe a thing.

I say you owe him one thing....honesty. Just be honest with the guy and it will be bettter. I personally pay for things all the times with female friends....because I like to treat. On dates, I like honesty....and I have only really got that back from a woman once. If you like him, keep dating. If you don't, tell him the truth. I know I rather here the truth then some lame and tired line like "It's not you, it's me".

Nope, you don't owe him anything especially if he asked. Now, if he takes you out on 3 or 4 more dates you might want to think about giving him a little treat in return.

How's life in NYC treating you so far? Pretty interesting isn't it?

You owe him to not go if you are not interested in him.

You owe him to enjoy yourself while on the date

If you are accepting the date don't you want to do what ever he wants you to do?

If not why accept the date invitation?

No. You don't owe him anything unless both of you have decided earlier to share the expenses.

true men don't expect anything in return for taking a girl on a date, which should be to see if there is mutual interest and if there is then you go steady, but paying is a gentleman's way of showing that they are capable of taking care of their queen, goddess, love interest.

no way,DUH! he asked you out,if he expects anything other than mutual respect for each other then he might as well get a prostitute, pay up front and be done with it.

The only thing he deserves is your undivided attention. More will come if there is a real connection between you.
