My wife and I haven't had a child yet, but we are planning to conceive ASAP.

If she gets pregnant now, then our first child will be born when I am 27 and she is 24.

How old were you when you had your first child?

Do you wish you were younger or older when you had your first child?

Wish I was older, a lot older. 30 is a good age.

I started very early, my first daughter was born a month before I turned 19. My son was born when I was 22 and daughter was born when I was 27. I can't turn back time to change my age but it worked out well for me because I was actually able to grow up with my children and I am young enough to enjoy the grand kids.

First of all, an important factor is financial stability. If you have that in order, then everything else will follow. I was 19 with #1, and 24 with #2. On one hand I wish I had waited so I could have gone to college and gotten the degree I wanted, and provided better for them. But on the other hand, they will be on their own soon and I'll still be young enough to travel, or do as I please for the first time ever.

23. I have no regrets. Am actually a little concerned about being old when I have #2 (I'm 27 now and may want another some time in the next 5 years).

How old were you when you had your first child? Pregnant with my twins(20 weeks) now. I am 25 and will 26 when they are born.

Do you wish you were younger or older when you had your first child? I am happy having a kid at this age. I am blessed to be having two.

i was 18 with my first, and was pregnant two times after that by the time i was 25. i have to great boys and did young because thats the way i planned it for myself. i personally would never have a child after 30 for health reasons and even went as far as had my tubes tied at 26 so it wouldnt happen. i just felt like getting it out of the way i guess.

Me and my husband just had our first child I am 31 and he is 35. Now that our son is here I wish we would have started a little sooner because now were not sure if we should have another. I think you two are at a good age to start a family.

17- first
18-second
30- third
31- fourth Now we are done!
Started younger than I would recommend to anyone who is too immature to put their children first as a priority, it is a life changing event, but they have all turned out beautifully. Oldest is going to college, youngest starting preschool this year! The best thing we did was have them close together in their ages, 17 months apart and 13 months apart, would not have it any other way.

I was 19 and my hubby was 21. We found out we were pregnant about a month after we got married. We both wish we had been a little older.

I was 18 when I got pregnant with my son, 19 when I had him.

With my daughter I had just turned 21 when I was pregnant with her and was still 21 when I had her. So she was my birthday baby (since I got pregnant around my birthday!)

I wouldn't change anything about it. Everything happens for a reason, and they are a blessing. I am happy to have them now, not later, because maybe I will be blessed with a different one later!

I was 22. There are good points and bad points to having a child at any age.

I think mid to late 20's is the best age.
