My girlfriend of over a year (almost 18) has been mentally and physically abused by her mom since she was in 8th grade. I personally believe her mom has a borderline personality disorder. Shes an A/B student, plays varsity soccer, and holds down two jobs. Her family is very wealthy and her father is completely unassociated with the family. I am a fairly normal 18 guy, I am a freshman at University of Wisconsin Milwaukee studying Psychology, I am a pool director for a sports club, and am a well rounded person. Her mother hates me, she hates the fact that her doughter is in love and wont go to her for help anymore. Shes tried extremely hard to break us up. She even attempted to file a restraining order against me. I have done nothing wrong. She went so far as to send her to this wilderness survival boot camp for troubled teens. When she called social services they said that she was the problem and that they already spoke with her mom. Her mom is extremely manipulative. Now shes there..

Wait until she turns 18, but I would focus on things I needed to do first before spending time with her.

Some people aren't meant to be saved - they have to save themselves thanks to the grace of the Holy Spirit.

First, being away from her mother is probably a good thing. These programs are designed to take juveniles (and she is still a juvenile) away from all the stress and teach them independence.

All you can do is wait. And when she gets back, cool your jets a little. You are the catalyst that causes her mother to react. Just back off a little until she turns 18. This will help both of you.
Once she turns 18, it becomes her choice of what to do.

All you can do is urge your girlfriend to leave that house. She is nearly at the point where she no longer needs parental consent for anything, so now is the time to start working on that.

I have ti iterate. A minor has no legal rights. If she stays because of the money, that is another issue. If she loves you, she can live with you and support herself.
