Help me to find a free software to capture still frames from video files. It should be as simple like single key stroke to capture from the movie. And automatically save the captured pictures to my working folder with automatic file naming. I do not want any demo version.

you mightn't need a free software. If you have windows xp, you should have the program windows movie maker there already. Try that. I saw where you can import a video and edit like a movie with credits and stuff. Below the preview pane there's a link "Take photo" or something like that.

VirtualDub can turn video into sequence image files, one image file per frame. And it's freeware.

you can capture the frame within video by using "Power DVD " you can find at www.download.com

just use movie maker and you can take a still of the video thats playing

Have you seen Klite codec pack? I hear that this does a good job.
