The insurance is based on a number of factors. Most importantly your driving record, age, and where you live. Driving record is the single most important. Smaller, lighter, and cheaper vehicles will be less to insure. They are cheaper to fix and do less damage in an accident. Things like ABS, airbags, traction controll, and anti theft system also help. If you have a garage to park in will help as well as a safe neighborhood. There are other factors such as credit rating which also factor in. As for the car though, a honda civicwith abs, airbags, and an antitheft system or equivilant from most manufacturer would likely be the cheapest to insure. Actually make that a ford focus or chevy aveo with similar trimings as no one would want to steal one.

Good info up there.

PT Cruiser according to Consumer reports.

I'm working from memory here, but I think that's what it said.

It makes sense too, it's a no-nonsense car that's fairly well made, is built on a platform (neon) that's had years of fine tuning, and because it's small it doesn't cause much damage when it hits something, and it has a relatively low value at resale, so the insurance company doesn't pay alot to repair it when it's damaged.

Minivans are pretty safe, parts are readily available, and they aren't typically used for racing by high risk drivers. :-) Good luck!
