iam getting married in a year. iam known for being a little dizzy and different. i still would like a semi traditional wedding but need some other different ideas. to jazz it up can you help?

-have a picnic
-have a BBQ
-have a "suprise" wedding, tell everyone its an engagment party adn then have the minister show up
-have a charity wedding, instead of getting presents ask guests to donate to a charity of your or their choice, or give a donation instead of favors
-have a wierd theme, circus, jungle, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, halloween, costume ball where the guests have to dress the part

I would check out wedding sites like the knot .com is a real good one. I too am getting married in a year, the family is big on golf so at the reception Im having a hole in one contest putting green area and everytime someone makes it the bride and groom will have to kiss. Have a traditional ceremony then rent a non traditional site for the reception like a night club or something. You could have name that tune or newlywed games, or even a karokee machine.

A friend of mine had a caricature picture framed with a border around it where her guests could sign it instead of a guest book. It was real cute and fun to see them in the cartoon picture with their wedding gear on. The only thing is the bride and groom have to have a good sense of humour and be good sports.

I thought about doing a "red hot love" theme. I would have a little red on my dress, red bridesmaid dresses and deep red, orange, and yellow flowers. Then the reception would be done in deep reds and burnt oranges. We would give away customized boxes of red hots as the favors and instead of rice use sparklers. Maybe even have a fireworks show at the end.
