I was a cat person until I got a dog, now I’m both. I have 2 dogs and 1 cat. Yes, dogs are loyal and obedient, but cats are independent and that is what I like about them. Dogs need consistent attention. You don’t have to walk a cat three times a day or teach it to stop using the toilet on your favorite rug. Cats come to you when they want attention and leave when their done, and vise versa. Dogs want to play, lay on you, and rub on you all day. But they are good protectors; a cat can’t protect your house or loved one. You can teach dogs tricks like how to fetch your favorite slipper; can’t do this with a cat, well you can but it will be sort of hard. It hard to choose a favorite when they both make good companions and have qualities I like and dislike. That’s why I choose both. Their both my furry friends.

I would love to have a dog, but not whilst working full time, it's not fair to the dog, so i have two cats, they don't mind being left all day as long as they can get in and out, so they are good companions who settle for my lifestyle, a dog wouldn't.

I have 2 cats and 1 dog and they are all faithful to me. When I have been sick to move, my 2 cats usually lay on each side of me and protect me like my dog should. You don't need to worry about cats so much as you do your dog. Your dog needs to be taken out to use the bathroom but cats usually hold it in better and longer . both are loyal. Please don't put down cats as they are just as good as a dog but smaller. YOu would think my cat is the watch dog the way she jumps right up and checks out what is going on.

Cats are very loyal and faithfull as well. Remember that cats can be trained to be protective and guard the house. Claws can do as much damage as teeth. My cat is a protector.

I am definitely a dog person first and foremost, scarred of cats but would never ever hurt one, dogs are always glad to see you when you come home and will run to the door to meet you and greet you with gusto, a cat will take one look at you, turn its back on you and ignore you for hours for leaving them, sorry but there is something a bit evil about cats to me,

well although i had a cat for many years he was very loyal and used to follow me shopping, even sitting outside the shop when i went in, so cats are great but i think i still prefer dogs, have you ever tried to throw a Frisbee to a cat?

i have both, cat and dog, but i would have to say that dogs are more loyal and loving because cats will go wherever they are fed and odgs no who there mummy and daddy are!!! but dont think your comment about cats is very nice at all i would be gutted if some-one used my cat as 'target practice'.
