There are a few different ways to look but the one I have used before is the yahoo white pages. You don't have to know the ss# just their full name and approx. age and last know state.

Gosh, let me guess. I must be in the US. A woman in Germany says her son wants to know his dad, and immediately our usual suspect feminists start talking about nailing him for child support. Did she say she wanted to nail him for child support? I sure hope you women don't ever marry a real live man without an anesthetic!

Also, there is no indication he is still in the military. Not since 1992 anyway.

I went to www.peoplefind.com and after entering Oliva and California, selected the people search in the intellius menu. It listed 14 D Oliva's in California, with some relatives listed if you know family names.

After you write down the towns, try to look up phone numbers, though I don't know if that works from Germany.

I tried D oliva and Dan Oliva, also herbert-oliva and got the same names. this is a pay service, up to $50 USD.

If you ARE mercenary, contact a US child support recovery unit, but don't expect to do that and also get him to visit your son. In the US, such services are free.

Good luck.

If you know this man well enough to lay down and have a child with him, it shouldn't be tough. Check with his family in California.

If you had a child with a man you don't know well enough to even know where his family is... then you are a single Mom and good luck to you.

If he simply abandoned you - go to the base closest to you. They have people to help you.

All choices have consequences. I would recommend choosing a better man next time.

Have you tried writing to the branch of the military he was in? The JAG office normal helps assitace in these matters. I asked my cousin, hes in the Marines. He says they will want his name, the place he was stationed near you, and possibly may want a DNA test done so they can help you get support for your child.
