I take it by this question you are insinuating that religious people believe anything you tell them and they are fools.

everyone knows that father christmas and the tooth fairy are fake, we can prove it because we all know it our parents etc who perform the acts...

however. noone can prove or disprove the existance of a 'greater good'. there may be one religion that is actually true, however silly you find it. you cant prove it either way

just because kids believe in santa and the tooth fairy does not mean they are religious. I had money put under my pillow for every tooth i lost as a kid and I think it a nice way for kids to know that not everything have to be serious all the time.
I am a christian but i am also a person who like most holidays too. I do celebrate christmas after all jesus did die for us too

The question is interesting.

I think you are right not to believe in the "belief thing" in religion. If you look at the origins of all the different religions, they all start with someone who speaks of what they know and directly experience for themselves, rather than what they believe: it is only those who follow centuries later perhaps, who know and experience nothing directly for themselves who talk about what they believe. If you take a look at the phenomenon of religion in all the different cultures and throughout history, there is an awful lot of nonsense, but there are, more rarely, people who are experiencing something real, and talking about what they are experiencing, not what they merely believe.

All I would say to you is that to find gold you have to dig down in the mud a little. There are many dimensions to being a human being. Do not limit your horizons to your limited awareness, and current concepts. The religious experience is as universal amongst mankind as much as sex and eating. Consider that there must be some reality therefore to sustain it. I am saying as one who knows, that there is definitely a spiritual dimension available for all to explore, and it is well worth opening up your mind to find it.

My mom did the comparable difficulty with me and he or she'll at last be thankful for all the failings you probably did, basically as i'm. there's no longer the thank you to take it lower back, yet you may tell her that the the enamel fairy is a element of you and which you have been so blessed to be her the enamel fairy. And that the the enamel fairy won't be anybody yet parents, yet that there is a the enamel fairy in anybody and that nonetheless she's no longer somebody separate, the spirit of the enamel fairy is rather authentic...Love and unhappiness that your infant is growing to be up. this is basically what my mom informed me and it meant the worldwide to me. The magic is often there. I in no way enjoyed the full Santa difficulty because of the fact my appropriate pal did no longer have plenty money and yuletide grew to become into very constrained, while from "Santa" my bro and that i've got been given plenty. I resented him saying that Santa grew to become into recommend because of the fact my pal grew to become into good. at ten, 4th or 5th grade, maximum anybody will tell her that he isn't any longer authentic. My brother is that age additionally. it is so unhappy to be certain it bypass. this is plenty too youthful. what has the worldwide come to? i don't understand. yet comparable difficulty is authentic for father Christmas as is for the TF. he will continuously be authentic interior the spirit of Christmas. verify in case you tell her, that she continuously is conscious of that.

Are you trying to tell us Santa aint real, and theres no tooth fairy?

Of course theres a Father christmas. I still get presents from him and I got all my money from the tooth fairy. I have no teeth left so I stopped getting money when I was 48, I tried leaving my false ones under my pillow but got no money.

I still get up on christmas day and there are presents under the tree for me. Im now 59 and a half and Father Christmas never missed a year, {except for the one time my wife was in hospital over Christmas}

And for your information, there are fairies at the bottom of my garden. I've seen them, My wife says they are Gnomes but she cant see to well without her glasses either.

We had a leprehaun living there one time but the cat ate him, then ran off with all his gold.
I shot the cat, but it had burried all the gold and im still searching for it.
I hate unbelievers who try and burst peoples bubbles.

Look at the bottom of your Garden some nice moonlight night and be very quiet, and you too might see the fairies.

I used 1 bottle of Brandy to keep me warm the night I saw them, IT can get very cold late at night in the dead of winter.and a wee drop of Brandy in your tea will keep you warm.
oh! as for God of course he is real, he made the faries and leprahauns and Gnomes and you just have to read some of the answers on here and you will realise it could only be fairies and gnomes and the like who answer them.

Hmmmmm.

Tooth fairy, no.

"Father Christmas", was originally St. Nicholas, known for his charity to the poor in his town, especially the children. That man was real. The fat guy in a red suit and reindeer coming down my chimney? No.

But of course, as a fairy tale for children. You also have to separate religion from faith.; Fatih is being sure of what we cannot see, through a spiritual klnowledge. Religion is following rules set out by people. Faith is a very personal thing, religion can be pushed onto people whi may not want it.

I don't believe in them as in they turn up and deliver presents/swap money for teeth but I do believe in the impact the idea of their existance has to people of all ages. I think they help people to be open minded to thing that they have never seen, and about thing that are not classed as the norm.

Look, you can believe what you want. However, I put my tooth under my pillow, and the next day I had a dollar. Call me a liar, but it's true.
