I am 23 and while growing up my family couldn't afford a dentist for me so I basically didn't know the proper way to take care of my teeth! And now the effects are catching up to me! I had work done on some of my bottom back teeth and four of my bottom teeth are crooked...is there any other way to fix them? I heard it would be difficult to get braces if your teeth are not natural!

I am 31 and have braces...I do wish that I did this earlier (my teeth weren't bad) but I am happy I did it and will have nice straight teeth by next year some time.

The costs for braces are between 4-5K for upper and lower...my insurance paid for 2K of that and you can get a payment plan for the rest without any interest if you pay for a 1/4 of it up front.

I would recommend it...you will be happier when your teeth are nice and straight if that bothers you right now. I am not sure about your natural question...your teeth can be whatever they are and braces will do the trick.

It is not too late. You can look into traditional braces or Invisalign, but keep in mind Invisalign is more expensive. And even if you have fillings or crowns on those back teeth it will not affect the progress of getting your teeth straightened. Go to a general dentist and ask for a referral to the orthodontist. The dentist will have to make sure you have no existing cavities first - once they are taken care of then you get the green light for braces.

Good luck!

u can have braces anytime, it's just that the younger u are the better cuz as u grow up it becomes harder to move ur teeth..

and it's not difficult even if u have work done, when i had my braces they had to do some work on my teeth before putting them!!

so i say go for it, cuz a beautiful smile changes the whole world ;)

GOOD LUCK

You can see a dentist and they can recommend a treatment. It is never too late to get your teeth fixed. Make sure you have dental insurance/benefits, the work is expensive but worth it.

you can get a bottom retainer, it doesn't show on the outside of your teeth, but it corrects the problem, or you could get clear braces
i had the retainer and they arn't that big of a deal but they help so much

peace

Many people get thier teeth straightened when they become adults, simply because of financial issues. If you have the money you should go for it.
