In my language class, we have to come up with another way for Odyesseus to escape from the cyclops. I think that maybe puring his wine in his eyes would work.

The alcohol That we most commonly know, such as rubbing alcohol, or a 5th labeled 100 proof.. could cause some serious damage.
If the wine was unfermented, or fermented.. maybe not much damage, a stun and sting , bloodshot later. But I don't think enough for Odysseus to make a quick enough escape.

it will probably blind a person..i know drinking bleach kills the vocal chords so one will have no voice
