I'm Black, but I noticed a couple of things lately. Many pro-illegals on the mexican side argue that "Europeans are illegal since 1492." Since some mexicans are mestizo, meaning mixed with Spaniard and Amerindian, would they be half illegal too?

Since we could go ahead and argue back and forth over who was here first, and so on. I think we can all agree that the US is a sovereign nation, just like Mexico, Spain, etc...

I for one dont have a problem with anyone coming here, and all AMERICANS should not have a problem with that. I do have a problem with anyone coming here illegaly, but more importantly, I have a problem with anyone, legal or illegal not contributing, more specifically taxes that pay for medical care, education, transportation, etc...

If you want to come here, fine, come here legally, become an American citizen, pay your taxes so that way we can prosper as a nation, and not become a nation of welfare recipients.

BTW, I'm part hispanic which means I have Spanish and native Mexican blood as well as English and Scottish blood. What does that mean? Nothing, I am an American, just as much as anyone and everyone who was born here, or has become a citizen.

Did pre-Columbian societies in the Americas even HAVE immigration laws? Somehow I doubt it. Well, then, how can the Europeans have been "illegal"? (I stress ILLEGAL; the illegality of an act requires the existence of a law against it.)

Actually, the main point of your question brings up the need for people of all backgrounds to drop the historical grievances that will never be settled to anyone's satisfaction and simply accept what isn't going to change. The descendants of the Europeans aren't going to leave the Americas, Australia, New Zealand, etc.; the Israelis aren't leaving, neither are the Palestinians; Serbs, Bosnians, Albanians and Croats are going to have to live side by side; so are Hutus and Tutsis, Armenians and Azeris; etc., etc., etc.; so those who don't like it should stop griping.

buying into the racist notion that Americans are illegal since 1492, then yes they would be mixed with the illegals. But it doesnt really matter since that argument is ridiculous.

All ILLEGAL ALIENS are ILLEGAL.... they are criminals...

Illegal aliens have absolutely no rights in the USA, they are not citizens.... they are criminals.... that is all they can possibly be while here illegally.... and they are deserters from their home countries.....

Illegal aliens are totally illegal.

The indigenous people who disagreed with our presence fought back violently. Why should we not have the same right?
