I'm 15, and I've always wanted to be an actress for so long! I'm so fustrated now because I had all these years trying out for things, and auditioning only to find there is some catch or scam at the end!! And I'm at the point where I don't feel like dealing with this anymore. Too much for me now. What should I do now, huh?

Community theatre is a good place to start. That way, you can get an idea of what it's like, and if it's something that might interest you. You might also keep your eyes open for news about "open" auditions (casting calls). There are a number of Yahoo groups that can give you more information on those. The Casting NY group's notices are almost always legitimate. Taking a few acting courses wouldn't hurt either. The best way to get into acting is to know an "insider", who can help you to get contacts within the industry. Attending film festivals can help too. Most are attended by lesser known directors and producers who are easier to approach than the big name people. Just remember to read the script carefully, and understand your character's description. If you're serious about a career, porn is pretty much a "dead end". Good luck
