please dont fret over this. its going to be just fine. for one thing you are upset about going to a doctor that is trained and educated very well to help you with your problems. you should be releaved that finally there is someone you can talk to that actually knows what they are talking about and can give you real, solid, good answers to all your worries and troubles. this doctor can help get you on the path you need to be on to have a successful healthy life from here on out. its just up to you to be open and honest and trusting in this doctor to help you. dont feel ashamed or embarrassed about seeing this doctor either. there are lots and lots of "normal" every day people that go see these doctors with their problems. there are also tons of famous movie stars that go see thier psychiatrists to talk about thier problems. just try to think of your new doctor as a new friend you can trust in and share anything with that bothers you or makes you happy. they cannot share what you say with anyone for any reason unless you allow it, so you are totally protected by your rights as a person to say whatever you want and have privacy with this person. i hope you get past this fear and let this doctor help you. im sure if your mother is advising and arranging this whole thing then its because she loves and cares about you and she feels you need someone beyond her and your father to talk to about your problems. sometimes this is true, because its hard to express ourselves with our close friends and family members. we hold alot in and it just builds up until we get depressed. sometimes it takes a trained professional psychiatrists help to see what the underlying problem is to help you. sometimes it means you need an anti-depressant or special counseling, other times it just means you need someone to talk to about whats bothering you at the time. it all depends on how serious the problem is. but you have nothing to worry about, you oviously have alot of people around you that care about you and are trying to help you with this depression. they want to see the happy you that once existed before this depression. they want to see you healthy and smiling and they will do whatever they have to so you get the help you need, because they love you so much. its up to you to allow them to help or not. i hope you do. i was once in your shoes, and it was hard, it took alot of time, but with a doctors help and some anti-depressants and lots of patience from my friends and family i came out of my depression and i now live a happy fullfilling life style. it took about a year for me, it could take less time or longer for you. but i hope you get rid of this fear of your doctor and learn to trust in him/her to help you. good luck sweetie.

I observed a psychiatrist on the comparable age as you. It became an incredibly good journey. in the initiating he focused on what became occurring in my existence and enable me ramble appropriate to the flaws that have been going on. At this element I cried lots which felt bizarre because of the fact he became a stranger! yet they are used to this so do no longer problem if it happens to you!. After some classes we began to speak approximately why I felt the way I did - underlying motives etc. This helped me to advance approaches of handling emotions because of the fact I understood the justifications that brought about the sentiments. That became approximately 2 an prolonged time in the past and because that element i've got lived a existence that i did no longer think of I in all probability ought to. no longer something outstanding yet each and every twelve months has have been given greater appropriate. i've got had the occasional bout of melancholy yet i comprehend the thank you to shelter it and comprehend that it will pass. incredibly the time you spend with the psychiatrist would be priceless by existence - many human beings don't get the help and carry a great style of emotional luggage around. As one final theory - your mom cares approximately you - it ought to no longer mean lots now besides the indisputable fact that that's going to do in destiny. good success.

A PSYCHAITRIST IS AN OBJECTIVE PERSON WHO IS TRAINED TO HELP YOU DEAL WITH PERSONAL ISSUES. SO NOT WORRY ABOUT BEING JUDGED BY THIS PERSON. THAT IS NOT WHAT THEY ARE THERE FOR, THEY ARE THERE TO LISTEN TO YOU AND YOU CAN TRUST THAT WHATEVER YOU CONDFIDE IN THEM WITH WILL REAMIN TOTALLY CONFIDENTIAL. bE COMPLETELY HONEST. THEY DO NOT READ MINDS BUT THEY DO READ BEHAVIOR, AND UNDERSTAND THE MOTIVES BEHIND THEM. IF YOU TRY TO FOOL THEM, OR SAY WHAT YOU THINK THEY WANT TO HEAR, THEY WILL KNOW IT.
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A PSYCHAITRIST AND A PSYCHOLOGIST, IS THAT THE PSYCHAITRIST HAS AN MD, AND BELIEVES THAT PEOPLES' PROBLEMS ARE CAUSED BY CHEMICAL IMBALANCES, AND THEY CAN PERSCRIBE MEDICATIONS TO HELP. A PSYCHOLOGIST BELIEVES THAT PEOPLES' PROBLEMS ARE PRIMARILY EMOTIONAL, AND THAT SOME PEOPLE DON'T ALWAYS KNOW HOW TO COPE WITH THINGS APPROPRIATELY.
wHICHEVER YOU SEE, THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO HELP YOU FIGURE OUT WHAT IS REALLY BOTHERING YOU, AND WHY IT IS COMING OUT OF YOU IN THE FORM OF DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY. TEHY WILL HELP YOU EXPLORE NEW WAYS TO LOOK AT THINGS THAT YOU NEVER EVEN THOUGHT OF, AND BETTER WAYS TO CHANNEL YOUR FRUSTRATIONS.
SOME PEOPLE BELIEVE THA THERE IS A MAGIC PILL THAT CAN SOLVE EVERYTHING. MAYBE, MAYBE NOT. BUT REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU GET MEDICATION OR NOT, YOU SHOULD GO THROUGH SOME COUNSELLING SESSIONS, AND REPORT BACK WITH PROGRESS ABOUT WHAT YOU HAVE DISCUSSED WITH THEM, AND HOW YOU ARE HANDLING THINGS.

First of all-try to relax. He will probably ask basic questions such as, how you are feeling? What has been going on around you? He will probably just ask questions to make you feel comfortable. How much do you sleep? What are your thoughts when you try to sleep-Then he will listen-really listen to what you are saying. And he may have questions regarding what you are saying. Most of all he will just ask you questions about what you are saying to make sure he has a clear understanding of how you are feeling. Please, it's most important to be honest. Describe how you feel-what is going on around you.

if you think something is wrong with you.
