No. There are only a few diseases shared by humans and cats (rabies is a good example), and influenza isn't one of them.

No you can't, but you can get "CAT SCRATCH FEVER" which might have similar symptoms. Thing is, people who get this are newly exposed to cats. It won't happen to anyone who has been scratched mildly in the past and has had their antibodies build up and become immune to it.
If you ever try to separate two fighting male cats and get mauled in the process because you didn't handle it right, you will get more hurt than they did; resulting in fever for a day or so and a ripped ear ...never interfere in that kind of fight because cats can hurt humans worse than hurting each other. If you do have to stop a fight, throw something over them, such as a towel, then back off.
There are certain diseases called zoonoses that are transmitted from cat to human. Flu is not one of them. The most serious one is toxoplasmosis, which can be harmful to pregnant women (which is why pregnant women should clean the litter tray with gloves, or not clean it at all ... get the dad to do it.)
Others include ringworm, and mange.
But not flu. And not aids either.

I presume this is a bird flu related question? If so - the answer is yes - but at present it is extremely difficult to contract flu in this manner and would require pretty direct contact with the infected moggie - certainly more than breathing the same air. Think more; - cat poo gets on your hands, you then don't wash them before eating. But even then the chances are remote enough not to worry about.

However - if and (more likely) when bird flu adapts so it can be passed easily between humans, then that really is brown trouser time.

The flu----no. But cat scratch fever is a real illness, and it hits people like the flu does. It is pretty rare though, and mostly only transmitted by kittens.

It depends on what you mean by "flu". There are some viruses which can transmit from cat to human or the other way, specifically some of the viruses which cause vomiting (e.g. noroviruses/caliciviruses). I haven't heard of any respiratory viruses transmitting from human to cat or vice-versa.

I don't think so. I don't even think cats can get the flu.
