Thanks to the weather changes, I've got sinus problems right now that leave me with a runny nose, a pounding headache, and very little energy. I don't want to slack off too much on my exercise routine, but I don't want to make myself worse either. Is it safe to do vigorous exercise (step aerobics, ellipitical, or running) with a head cold or should I lay off until I'm feeling better?

Personally I think that some moderate excersice makes me feel less stuffy if I have a cold or such. Helps you breath clearer, though you might want to keep a hanky handy! If you have a pounding headache I'd stick to something that won't make your headache worse... start off speed walking, if your head feels alright then pick up the pace.

Hope you feel better soon!

If your symptoms are above your neck, like a stuffy nose, it's fine to exercise. I wouldn't do anything too strenous if you feel crappy, but go do what you feel up to.

If your symptoms are below your neck - like in your chest - stay home.

As long as you don't have a fever you should be ok. But, if you feel that bad, I wouldn't risk it. Your body is trying to tell you something - take a rest!
